Bay Stormers was set up in 2009 by Faye Hewitson. After having been captain of the Lancaster Roses University Squad, she set up her own club offering cheerleading sessions to children in the local area.

‘I really enjoy coaching cheerleading as I see it is a way for young people to make friends, have fun and get fit at the same time. I love the team element that cheerleading has- which you don’t get from other sports such as gymnastics and I love seeing the squads progress from week to week.’ – Faye

We train between Lancaster and Morecambe at Unit 2A Langdale Business Park, White Gate, White Lund Industrial Estate. Everyone is welcome to join the club – regardless of age or ability. Cheerleading isn’t just about pom-poms. Bay Stormers focus on the competitive side of cheer which incorporates stunting, gymnastics, dance, trust and skill aswell as the more traditional ‘pom dance’. We are dedicated to promoting cheerleading as a sport and are working hard to ensure everyone gets enjoyment out of their cheerleading.

Bay Stormers Cheerleaders compete and bring home trophies. We are proud of our successes and train hard to ensure we go from strength to strength. We have competed in 4 competitions to date and have a total of 28 trophies to show for our hard work.
